In cooperation with WCBS News Radio, CUUR had the opportunity to sponsor the WCBS Working Women’s Business Luncheon in NY City. Katie Couric was the keynote speaker and shared her experience as a woman in business with over 400 business owners and professionals from the Northeast attending. When the microphone became available for guests to ask this CBS Evening News Anchor questions about her professional and personal life, CUUR’s Marketing Director, Lindsey Carnett, asked how she discusses positive body image with her two daughters since she’s always needing to look her best on camera. Couric’s response was very similar to the CUUR message - a healthy lifestyle, feeling comfortable in your own skin and making smart decisions about eating and exercise. After the open discussion, CUUR’s President and Marketing Director presented Katie Couric with the CUUR swag bag from the Oscars gifting suite with and thanked her for speaking at the event. With a box of CUUR as part of the lunch place setting for all 400 women, CUUR was certainly well-received by these successful businesswomen, who are likely healthier and happier today.
